Golden Age in KaliYuga

When does it start?
What does it mean?

No, I am not going to tell exactly how it is – I am merely making up notes about it to make it understandable.

People are making up all sorts of fantasies about the coming Golden Age as if it would be an age that would start in the nearest future (maybe next year) and then last forever and all problems will be gone and Earth will return to be God´s paradise.

The idea about a Golden Age was first spread "to all people" in the West by Hare Krishna, who were everywhere on the streets with their Vedanta books in the 70s. So I suspect that their talking about a Golden Age is what has propagated and become the belief that God´s eternal paradise is knocking on the door right now.

It has just substituted the belief that ”Jesus will soon come and then the ones who believe in him will come to Heaven”. Most people do not like Christianity but they take the same ideas and dress them up in other garments sending hearts and angels to each other on the net in the same way as people did with beautifully painted cards around 1890 and "God´s Kingdom on Earth" has become substituted with a Golden Age that is connected with the mystic wisdom of ancient Red Indians and so... far away from any connection to Jesus!
The angels are teenagers now, instead of the little half naked children that were painted in the churches 100 years ago (probably symbolic for innocence or maybe they were supposed to attract men to the church???) and the talking about God and Jesus has become the talking about Mother Earth and nature.

God´s kingdom, that will soon come, has become the Golden Age, and instead of referring to the Bible we refer to all kinds of native peoples´ old mythology or just any film on YouTube.

The other day my friend Mona asked me:
”But how is it with this Golden Age?
When does it start?”

I know that the Hare Krishna has this concept, but even if I read it in the original (translated) text I cannot see exactly when this Golden Age is supposed to start.
But I think that it must be somewhere in these scripts because they seem to be the most solid information from ancient times. Probably I just cannot find it.

The KaliYuga is 432.000 years long and we have now passed the first 5.000 years of it. If the Goolden Age starts ”now” (when we have eliminated Monsanto, the weapon industry and the chemical pollution?) there will be 417.000 years left after it.

My first question is:
Is that right? Is it supposed to start ”now”? Or when?
What does the text say?

Within this 432,000 year period, there is a period of 10,000 years that will be the Golden Age. That golden age is being described below by the Lord (Bhagavan).. This text is taken from the Brahma-vaivarta Purana. = from the net.

This means victory to the good side (and then the crash). Earth will be filled by the devotees, the rightous ones that are acting in accord with divine or moral law (free from sin) and this seems to be what is behind also the Christian and Muslims ideas. I think it is very mych possible that they have taken their ideas from the old Indian Vedanta tradition. Even their own prophets can have had contact with Vedanta gurus, who knew all these ”texts” by heart.

Note that Vedanta does not say that you should kill people!!! People have distorted and perverted the old messages. I would say that the biggest distortion comes from our ability to read written text, because then it is possible for anyone to translate the old words into just anything that suits his own mental and emotionel level. I do not think that a translation into another language will ever be fully OK because many words cannot be properly translated. The main ideas remain, but get slightly distorted.

Anyway. Today we can see that the amount of so called good people is getting bigger and today they have the ability to find each other on the net and to share their ideas and form groups and make films and newspapers, which they could not in the old times when people with spiritual gifts got burned as witches or accused of being troll-priests, evil sorcerers and so on (when the Christian church got involved). Today they get attacked by VoF (which has substituted the priests), the old mainstream media and the authorities that are defending the big companies, but these "alternative" people are not so vulnerable any more as they have got means for defending themselves. At least not here in the West. It seems to be different in some other countries.

But there are all over the world more and more people who defend the planet with it's nature and animals against the destruction operated by the greedy humans. Billions of people are protesting and many are preaching about the importance of waking up!
How you will wake up (if you do) depends on your personality.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqsFp0J22Hc

This could very well be the beginning of a Golden Age and in that case we can assume that the Vedanta means that this age begins after the initial 5.000 years and they have passed now.

When the destruction of our planet gets so severe that we all get sick, psychotic and crippled from it, more and more people will wake up and become aware of what is going on and they will change their minds about it and jump over to the good side.
But I believe that many will also do the opposite: turn to more money-making, more medicines and more technical inventions that are supposed to solve the situation (which will not work).

It was the so called hippie movement that started this in the 70s. In the middle of this we had (for the first time) the Hare Krishna people running around on the streets with their drums and rosaries. A strong wave of idealism swept over the western world and millions of young people got interested in spiritual ideas and disciplines like macrobiotics, vegetarianism, pacifism, Buddhism, anthroposofy, astrology, homeopathy and so on.
These alternative young people were at that time not mixed with the normal young mainstream people and it was easy to see on which side a person was.

In the 80s people turned to shamanism and the Red Indians and after that the polarisation was not so evident any more. Today we can find these ”alternative” ideas everywhere (as they have also become a business that people can make money from!)

But the horror and evil also seem to get stronger. Never before have we heard about so much demonic cruelty as today and it seems to be getting worse and worse with nuclear accidents, bombs, poisonous chemicals everywhere, the erasing of whole cities and people getting murdered and raped in huge amounts. The whole nature is close to get exstinct by humans. Not even the weather is left to be working in it´s own natural ways. Even the vibrations (the frequencies) of the surface of the globe are being changed by the clever scientists.

It is possible that the ”good people” will in some way outnumber the others and ”get the power” if we all get enough scared by the global destruction. How else would there be a golden age?

But ...
I think that every planet has it´s own vibratonal frequency, its own ”energy pattern” that is like a colour or a tone or a weight, because it has to have a certain quality to maintain it´s position among the other planets.

Earth has, as long back as I know about it, been a planet where a huge amount of killing was going on. If people were peaceful during the SatyaYuga then our planets was maybe not so materially dense as it is today.
But with this modern density we also have the killing because most animals are eating each other in quite violent ways. Even cows are eating huge amounts of small animals (they are in the grass). The killing must go on but it does not have to be done by all people.
In the relatively old times many men were hunters and this was just normal. Maybe there is a big amount of men, who are meant to be hunters (it is in the genes and I have read that it can probably be connected to the missing of one dopamine-receptor). Hunters feel lost in our modern world so they start killing each other when their jobs have been taken over by machines and meat-factories (animals´death camps).
If planet Earth is a planet where a lot of killing goes on all the time we must have a lot of animals that are taking care of this to keep the earth´s balance. Otherwise hunters have to do it and if they cannot chaos breaks loose. (Calm... I can change my theory if someone presents a better idea).

Something tells me that it is not possible to transform Earth into a divine planet of eternal bliss, but maybe into one that is more natural (just leave the wild animals to be what they are!) because the killing has a good purpose in nature. It prevents sick and wounded animals from having to get operations, medicines and wheel chairs.
What Krishna says about humans probably goes for animals too: ”Don´t be sad about that! They do not die in reality. They come back!”
(He did not mean that we should make an effort to kill as much as possible!)

If the globe, our planet, should keep it´s vibrational balance during this Golden Age there has to be a polarisation between either good and bad people (they have many names as for example devotees and demons) or between a good human population and a huge, wild nature.

The Vedanta seems to be saying that this polarisation will be between two kinds of people and finally these groups will split up when the people will be reborn on different places.

It only means the same thing as it always means: you will be reborn where you belong and this is directed by your own will, wishes, behaviour, thoughts and actions (your unconscious memories and vibrational status).

So actually we do not have to be troubled by the question about this Golden Age. But now a friend asked me: ”Exactly when does it start?” and I do not know. I have not seen it written anywhere.

The verses above, that I quoted, are from the Brahma-vaivarta Purana.

The verses were spoken by Lord Krishna to Mother Ganga just before the beginning of Kali yuga (the age of quarrel and strife). Kali yuga began approximately five thousand years ago, and it has a duration of 432,000 years, leaving us with 427,000 till the end of the present age.

I also wonder how bhagarathy uvaca can be translated into Ganges said. (I just suppose that Ganges said would be Ganga uvaca)
It is possible that it just means ”said to the Lord” so that it just implicitly means ”Ganges said” but it is not exactly what is written.
Making small changes (that not mean much) can in the long run, when it is re-done over and over again by different people, change a text into something that it was not supposed to be.

The age of the current Manu is calculated to last some 305.300.000 of which 120.400.000 have past. From Hare Krishnas BhagavadGita.

That means that this world has left 184.900.00 and what is that?
185 millions of years left!

KaliYuga is the last yuga and it is supposed to be 432.000 years. As it started 5000 years ago there are 427.000 years left. Of these years 10.000 are the Golden Agen (whenever it starts) and then we have the last horrible 417 years left until the whole dissolves.

The yugas are
KaliYuga 432.000 years
DvaparaYuga should be 864.000 Prabhupada said 800.000 years, but dva means 2 in Russian so I suppose DvaparaYuga should have the double length of the first one.
TretaYuga. Tre means 3 in Swedish, so I suppose it should be 3 times as long = 1296.000
SatyaYuga could be 4 times as long. That makes 1728.000.

I ad them together and it makes 432.000 x 10 = 4.320.000 which would be the time length of our world (universe?) including all the yugas.
Prabhupada wrote that the age of the ”current manu” is 305,300.000 years.

300.980.000 are missing.
4 million years are missing.
Maybe because I don´t know what a manu is?

Manu is "the father of mankind", but in BG I read that the age of the current manu is 305.300.000 years. But how many manus are there in a planets life? The present manu seems to be the 8th manu on earth.

The Lord appears at the end of DvapataYuga of the 28th millennium of the 8th manu....

Do I need to say that I have lost the track of this whole counting?

I leave the maths and turn to another way of thinking.
Maybe the figures 432 are just symbolic, because they correspond to the length of the three first ages: Satya, Treta and Dvapara. Maybe the figures 432 is just a vibrational pattern that can be of any length? Like a mathematical formula?

And they also correspond to the verses in BhagavadGita as there are 4 lines and 32 syllables in each verse. 4 syllables should be repeated 8 times to form the melody, which I suppose was very important at that time. It is the melody and the rythm that forms the vibrational message as the brain reacts differently to different kinds of tones and rythms.
So the real "god´s name" in the Hare Krishna mantra could be hidden in the melody and in the vibrational tone of the voice. In that case this vibrational name is inbedded in every verse in the whole BhagavadGita and maybe in every verse in any Vedic scripture?

How is it then with the Gayatri mantra?

Anyway... I will probably find the answer to when the Golden Age is if I google on Shrimad Bhagavatam, and then I will write the next chapter here.
